Step by step approach:

At Dr. Aggarwal’s Wellness Multispecialty Hospital, our experienced gynaecologist performs fetal transfusion up to 35 weeks of gestation, with delivery anticipated at 37 to 38 weeks.

The procedure is safe and with use of ultrasound the position of the foetus and placenta is determined.

The surgeon inserts a needle from mothers’ abdomen to the umbilical cord vein of foetus or foetus abdomen.

For transfusion the fetal blood type is matched with compatible blood group and blood is passed through the needle.

The procedure is important to keep the baby healthy until maturation in the womb. It promotes safe term pregnancy.
